The Men’s Ministry is planning a hike to Mission Peak on Saturday, April 20. We will meet in front of the Ohlone College electronic sign at the corner of Mission Blvd. and Pine St. at 8:30am. The street address is 43600 Mission Blvd. and street parking is available on the Ohlone College side of Mission Blvd.

The hike to the top is 3.7 miles each way and the elevation gain is almost 2000 feet, so it’s not an easy hike. There is a picnic table about a half mile from the top and 600 feet beneath the peak. This offers a vault toilet and great views and can be a rest stop for those not wanting to go to the top. Generally, it’s about a 2-hour hike to the top. Depending on the groups abilities and numbers we can split into 2 groups with the faster group going to the top and meeting up with the others at the picnic table.

As it can be windy and colder at the peak it is recommended to dress in layers and wear sturdy footwear. Bring a water bottle or energy drink and a snack.
