With the end of Summer and transitioning to Fall we put away our things of summer, get back to work, return to school, and look forward to Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
In September, the Men’s ministry participated in the parish-wide cleanup day by emptying out storage locker No. 1, supported the Homeless Outreach Ministry’s BBQ, participated in the Mission Gala, had a well-received e-bike presentation/demonstration at our general meeting, and had our first time group attendance at Mass with ministry members serving as ushers, lectors and extraordinary ministers.

Looking ahead we hope to broaden our involvement with the parish at large starting with engaging with the Young Adult Ministry at our next general meeting (Oct. 7). That meeting will also feature a presentation on Ham Radio by SJMM members. The SJMM will also be present at Fr. This’s installation on October, 26th.
In November, in keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, we will have our annual retreat – open to all men of the parish – at the St. Francis Retreat Center in San Juan Baptista. Contact Axel Brisken () for details and registration.
We’ll wait and see how the parish will handle Christmas this year, but the SJMM is prepared to set up the Creche and Procure live Christmas trees if requested. Lou Zenzen is in the final stages of repairing the shepherd statue’s broken leg from last year. Our annual Christmas Party will be in the St. Joseph Workshop on December 6th.
Happy Fall Everybody!
