Easter is relatively early this year with Ash Wednesday just over 2 weeks away on February 18. Those able to and willing should fast voluntarily between Ash Wednesday and Easter. There are exceptions though, pregnant women, sick people, children and the old usually don’t have to.  Old can be a relative term, but I will try to stick with my tradition of giving up alcohol for lent.

Before then we have a chance to have some fun. Our February meeting will be a Game Night and we have invited the Women of St. Joseph and the Young Adult groups to join us. We will have a range of dice games and some snacks and beverages and even some raffle prizes for game winners at the end of the night.
