Meeting started at 7:00PM with fellowship and a Prayer
- Discussion on the preferred charity donation of $200 each for past Presidents Dennis Dubro and George Perry
- Action: Tom Leen agreed to communicate with the families and return the charity information to Axel Brisken for disbursement.
- Discussion on the status of our November Retreat at the Franciscan center
- Pete updated the board that we have reserved space at the center for the weekend before Thanksgiving
- Pete is still working on securing a retreat Priest
- Pete suggested we consider opening the event to all men of the Parish
i. Action: Pete took an action to contact the center administrators and get a contract for us with deposit requirements and cost as soon as possible.
- Discussion on the TMIY program
- Pete briefed the team on the program and indicated that Fr. Anthony is interested in scheduling a program for our Parish in Fall
- The program is a weekly program for 13 weeks run at Lent (Spring) and Advent (Fall)
- A core team will need to be formed from the Parish of 5-6 men
- Role of the Men’s Ministry is TBD
- Pete suggested we may still want to have Dave Sigfried speak to the Men ( zoom meeting or in person is possible)
i. Action: Pete will work with Dave and get back to us
- July General Meeting date change ( Current meeting date is July 4th 2023)
- Ashley proposed moving the date to 11th July and holding the meeting at the Holy Family Gardens and having a BBQ- Meeting will be fellowship only with no speaker.
i. Decision: the proposal was unanimously accepted
- Upcoming Faith and Family BBQ on May 21st starting 1PM
- Faith and Family team will provide seven volunteers and will start setting up at 11AM
- Skip Phair, Ashley and Steve R will be there by 11AM
- The rest of the Men need to be there by 12:30PM
- Our volunteers are Ash, Steve R, Tom L, Jerome H, Skip P, Lou Z, Louis L, Greg S (Lou and Tom BBQ Masters)
- Skip will purchase all food items
- We will use both BBQ units (not Holy Smoker)
i. Decision: Ash will bring the Carriage house keys and Storage keys
ii. Skip will check out from the office the Kitchen keys and Pantry keys
- Next Service event for June is 11th of June (Mission Anniversary) -Pancake Breakfast
- Event lead is Greg Stephens, we nee at least 10 volunteers an a pickup truck
- Expected 120-150 guests (free event with donation to help cover cost )- Per head cost expected at about $5
- Volunteers to date – Greg, Ash, Gary, Skip ,Steve R (Ash will source more volunteers )
- Mission Anniversary Mass 8:00AM
- Several positions to participate in the mass (1) Bring up silver -3 men (Greg, Gary ,TBD),(2) bring up gifts -1Man(Steve R) and 1 woman(Mindy Isam), 1 woman TBD), Lector: Tom or Skip (if possible). Richard L ,or Lou possible if available for gifts or silver

A couple of adds to the Minutes of Tuesday’s Board meeting (these were discussed but omitted from the previous version).
- Starting with the June meeting ,June 6th, our General Meetings will be moved to the Mission AV room . Our thanks to Gary Dorighi for clearing this with our Mission administrator. This is in preparation for our Parish Hall/Church reconstruction. There will be announcements in the newsletter, website and in Greg’s President Message.
Our July Meeting will be on 11th of July (moved due to the 4th of July holiday ) and will be a BBQ at the Holy Family Picnic area.
- Mike Gaffey will also assist at the Faith and Family Picnic on May 21st. (I missed his name in the volunteer list).
