Come Learn How You Restore a 200 Year-old Painting
You are invited to hear a presentation on the restoration of Mater Dolorosa (Mother of Sorrows). This dramatic painting hung in the Baptistry of the original 1809 adobe church. Miraculously, it survived the earthquake of 1868 which destroyed the church. Upon completion, Mater Dolorosa will be displayed within the Mission San Jose Church for all to admire.
