President's March 2026 Message
|
|
|
March will be a busy month for the Men’s Ministry and the parish. The Ministry Fair will take place this weekend, and our monthly meeting on Tuesday will include a presentation regarding the restoration of Mater Dolorosa (Mother of Sorrows), a significant painting that was displayed in the Baptistry of the original 1809 adobe Mission Church. We have our group Mass on March 8 at 10am and we want to ensure that we have a good turnout to show your support for our ministry. The St. Joseph Conference is on March 20 & 21, and our support is needed for directing traffic and parking. Palm Sunday at the end of the month will have a few Masses starting on the Mission steps and our support is needed to provide the PA system and guide the procession to the church.

Come Learn How You Restore a 200 Year-old Painting
|
You are invited to hear a presentation on the restoration of Mater Dolorosa (Mother of Sorrows). This dramatic painting hung in the Baptistry of the original 1809 adobe church. Miraculously, it survived the earthquake of 1868 which destroyed the church. Upon completion, Mater Dolorosa will be displayed within the Mission San Jose Church for all to admire. Prayer request for healing
|

|
Please keep in your prayers our members and spouses who are recovering from serious health setbacks, physical challenges, or healing from illness. May God grant them strength, comfort, and steady progress each day, and may they feel the support and care of our community surrounding them. Please also strengthen the loved ones who are caring diligently for them.

- March 3rd. - Fellowship Night in the Parish Hall at 7:00PM
- March 10th. - SJMM group Mass at 10:00AM in the main Church
- March 20th. and 21st. - Saint Joseph Conference (Parking/Safety volunteers needed)
- March 29th. - Palm Sunday AV set up at the Mission Steps and procession traffic safety (volunteers needed).
