President's message - September 2024
Well, here it is the end of summer 2024. After Labor Day the children are in school, and it's back to a more familiar schedule. The Men’s Ministry has had a successful summer, providing support to various parish events such as Family of Faith Picnic, Mission Days weekend, Parish Clean-up Picnic, and hosting a Hospitality Sunday. These events were successful because of those handful of servant-leaders who are the real heroes of our group. Please join me in thanking all these valued members at our next general meeting, and remember they are more than willing to provide training and assistance to the next group of men who will follow. Come be a part of us every month in the Church Hall. The September general meeting will be on the first Tuesday of the month (the next evening after the holiday Monday!). Our speaker will be the man to answer all your questions regarding the church facilities - Bill Utic. Come early, by 7:00pm to enjoy the social half-hour with refreshments and constructive brotherhood.

Parish CleanUp Day – August 10, 2024 Hospitality Sunday – August 18, 2024
The Saint Joseph Men’s Ministry (SJMM) was busy in August hosting a BBQ Lunch for the 80+ volunteer parishioners who went about the St. Joseph Mission campus cleaning, trimming, sweeping and picking up trash. Even the Carriage House was decluttered and swept by the volunteers.
The following week the SJMM hosted coffee and donuts in the parish hall after and during all the Sunday morning Masses. Thanks to all the SJ men for their service!

Mission Museum project update
The Mission Church and Museum will be closed for remodeling from September 2nd to December 15th. Know that we will still offer Guided Tours, Student Field Trips, and Worship Services through December. We are excited about our Mission Museum Renewal Project; but sadly, we must close our doors to self-guided tours during construction. We are eager to show you our new self, so come back during the Holidays and check us out! Pictured above is a rendering of the new Welcoming Center!

Mother Teresa of Calcutta (today Kolkata, India)
Mother Teresa was born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu on August 26, 1910, in Skopje (now in North Macedonia). She was an Albanian- Indian Roman Catholic nun and Missionary. She found her calling to serve the poorest of poor in Kolkata India. She had a deep, intense Love for Jesus.
She describes her calling “to be Jesus LOVE to the poor and to ensure they know him”.
At the age of 18 she joined the Sisters of Loreto in Ireland and moved to India in 1929 where she taught at Saint Mary’s School for girls for almost 20 years. In 1946 she experienced a “call within her call as a sister”.
