On May 19th, the Saint Joseph Men’s Ministry supported our Faith and Family Ministry with a BBQ for their appreciation picnic. The weather was perfect and the event was attended by about 310 adults and children. Our confirmation candidate also joined in the festivities. There were games, music, snow cones and much more. Children and adults all had a great time in community and fellowship. We are grateful to Grace Lichauco and Nancy Flores for making us part of this awesome event.
After the noon mass, Fr. Anthony said the blessing and the event started. Everyone dove into the food and the festivities.
Our master grillers Lou Zenzen and Mike Burns fired up the grills about noon and worked feverishly for hours grilling cheeseburgers and hot dogs. We want to thank Skip Phair for purchasing all the food, beverages and trimmings.
The faith and Family team provided the snow cones which were greatly appreciated on the sunny day.
The scouts from Troop 155 came and helped with serving and clean up. Our thanks to the Eagle scouts, the Troop leader Tom Laus and the young men who helped out.
In the Parish kitchen, under the leadership of David Dsilva, a team of men worked at cooking the Hot dogs, cutting and slicing tomatoes and arranging all the trimmings for the BBQ.A big thanks to all the men who showed up to make this event a success. We look forward to next year to do this again !
