General Meeting Presentation July 7th at 7:00 PM- speaker: Gary Dorighi
Encounter the French Colonial cities of Vietnam as they prepare for Tet and ride bicycles through the rural villages and rice fields outside the old capitol city of Hue. Board a traditional-style wooden junk and depart for scenic Ha Lang Bay. Kayak among the tiny forested islands and see the floating villages of families who call the bay their home. Continue your passage hiking through the Laotian countryside and exploring the Buddhist temples and culture of Luang Prabang. Next, journey to Cambodia to see the Ta Prohm temple (from Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) tangled in thick banyan roots. Finally, experience the sun rise over the Angkor Wat temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. The St. Joseph Men’s Club invites you to “ZOOM in” and hear Gary Dorighi describe this expedition with some amazing photos at our monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 7th at 7 pm.
