Parish Creche redesign- Eagle Scout project by Nathan Laus

The creche at St. Joseph Parish is always the highlight of our Christmas decorations. Many of you have helped assemble and teardown the structure during Advent. Over the years the structure, bolts and canopy began to show its age. The original unit was also difficult to set up and needed many guys to transport and set up. The lighting also was a little challenging.

This year we were delighted when Nathan approached us with the idea of redesigning the Creche as an Eagle scout project. Fr. Manny, Tammie Ngo and the Board quickly reviewed the plans and approved the project.

Nathan and his team did an outstanding job, the new design is lighter, has fewer pieces and the lighting and assembly instructions are significantly improved. The structure can be assembled with 3 people and the parts can be transported in a truck or car (huge improvement).

Thank you, Nathan, for your leadership and to your team for a job well done, it is quite a contribution to the parish that will bring joy annually to many. Our thanks also to Lou Zenzen for his guidance and support of the project. Check out some of the pictures.
