March President’s Message

March is upon us; it is the month we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) , Daylight savings time (March 14th ) and the first day of spring (March 20th). We have already completed almost three weeks of Lent, time is moving fast!

Spring is a time of change and growth and like our gardens our parish is also growing and changing under Fr. Anthony’s leadership. I would encourage everyone to checkout the parish website often and do look up the online bulletin it is filled with lots of excellent updates on the parish activities. (http://saintjosephmsj.org/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=Online+Bulletin+02-21-21). As of February 27th, we will also have print versions available at the back of the parish.

The first page of our bulletin now has the new e-mail addresses and contact telephone numbers to facilitate communication between staff and the faithful, check it out!

Our march general meeting will be on Tuesday March 2nd and the featured speaker is our very own Deacon Benjamin Lai. He will speak on his discernment to become a deacon and share the process and his journey through the training. Come and get to know him as our newest parish staff member, he is anxious to meet everyone. Remote meeting details can be found on our website and this newsletter.

We continue our Membership dues collection in March, I want to thank the seventeen members who have already sent in their dues and a special thank you to those who added a donation to enable us to continue to donate to our parish outreach ministries, we have received just over $1000 in donations. Please mail your checks to our treasurer Axel Brisken (see article on membership dues for address)

Until next month, be safe and be healthy.
