Hey guys, it is a new year. 2020 was challenging for us all and I pray it was a year that called us to a renewal in faith. Jesus said “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). This season is a time of quiet for many in the world. Let us seek the peace that will refurbish our soul and interior life. Saint Paul tells us “ Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your kindness be known to all. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:4-7)
Over the past year, as VP for Spirituality, I have asked you to keep in mind our clergy and seminarians. As we make a transition to a new pastor, I ask that you keep Fr Manny and Fr Anthony both in mind, with special gratitude for all that Fr Manny has done for us.
And with practical consequences for the new year, I have been frustrated with failure in keeping past new resolutions, so I have decided to make some achievable ones this year. I am resolving to eat more and exercise less. Dennis Dubro, VP for Spirituality
