We are now in the season of Advent; the world is waiting. We await many things, an end to this pandemic and lock down, the birth of Jesus, a return to some form of normalcy. Despite this situation we have many things to celebrate and give thanks, family, friends good health and hope.
Today, November 28th, several of our members set up the creche in the front of the church. Although we do not have indoor mass, the creche will be a positive beautiful backdrop for our live stream mass every Sunday at 11 AM. My thanks to the men who took the time to help with this set up (see article in this newsletter).
Last week we celebrated a day of spiritual reflection during our virtual retreat. The retreat was well attended. We had about fifteen participants. Fr. Ken, our retreat master created a thoughtful and prayerful environment virtually.
This coming Tuesday 1st December is the last club General meeting for 2020. Our speaker is Steve Conn with a delightful presentation on the John Muir trail (see the article in this newsletter). We will also present the roster for next year’s board and seek approval from membership. I look forward to seeing you at the General meeting (albeit virtually).
Our Christmas dinner celebration is canceled due to the restrictions of gatherings.
Peace, blessings and Joy to you and your Family.
