Youth are the future of our church. To support and encourage their participation in Christ’s mission here in St. Joseph Parish, especially after confirmation, the St. Joseph Men’s Club has taken proceeds from the Parish BBQ Dinner and use them for a scholarship to recognize a graduating senior’s contribution to the St. Joseph/Mission San Jose Community. The selection committee is in awe over the commitment and accomplishments of the applicants for the scholarship.
The Parish and Men’s Club recognize a young man who embodies the values of our Parish, dedication, involvement, and commitment to Christ’s message. He recently graduated with highest honors from Bellarmine College Prep. He is an active member of St. Joseph Indian faith community. He helped introduce Indian cuisine to the parish “Pancake Breakfast.” Through St. Joseph youth ministry he has provided assistance and donations to the homeless and the Fremont Senior Center. For over five years, he has been a volunteer worker at parish social events. In school he is a tutor, member of the championship robotics team, and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity Restore.
The St. Joseph Men’s Club is pleased to present the “Joseph Faria Memorial Scholarship” to Dylan Dsilva.
